The Relay Racing FAQ

What services do you cover ?
See the 'Results', 'Today's Info' or 'Analysis' pages. These are available to registered users without charge.
Aren't you just another relay agent ?
Depends. On the one hand we do pass on the information of those that deem their advices worthy of buying. On the other, we do not follow the traditional 'relay agent' modus operandi
So what makes you different ?
Firstly, we tell it as it is. Traditionally, tipsters and 'relay agents' will always manipulate the truth to make them appear better than they are. We can see that this is good for their business, but it's also bad for the average punter. We want to be open and realistic about what can be achieved, and our figures are calculated accordingly.
How do you calculate tipster profits ?
We calculate the profit / loss on each bet in Seven ways! These are ;- Profit at level stakes to SP (LSP), profit to LSP + 15% (ie with Betfair's claimed 20% better odds - 5% commission), Profit laying the selection at SP, Profit laying selection at SP + 15% (ie at Betfair). Profit at recommended stake at recommended price; Profit at recommended stake at SP, and Profit at level stake at recommended price.
Why so many profit / loss figures ?
Because we want our stats to be totally transparent; the industry is unfortunately rife with charlatans, we're positioning ourselves on the side of the average punter
Tell me about the manipulation you hint at ?
Unfortunately this is widespread in this industry. It ranges from simply claiming unobtainable prices to outright lies. A tipster claiming a profit at recommended prices may well be truthful, however often the profit is totally dependent on being able to obtain that price.
And the outright lies ?
One example is the well known service that Still settles all each way bets to 1/4 odds. If only real world bookmakers did this !
What figures should I believe in ?
SP at level stakes are obtainable for all. As are recommended stakes at SP. Add the +15% Betfair figures if you believe that to be obtainable.
What services do you offer ?
Basically, there are three levels of access; Guest, which allows very limited access to the site. Registered, which is also free, and gives access to all areas with certain limitations; Subscriber, which gives full access to all available information with no limitations.
Why do I have to register to obtain full information ?
By registering you give us your email address . In return you get access to all areas and information available. We think it's a small price to pay, but if you disagree simply don't register.
What do you do with my registration details ?
Check the registration page. It just asks for a username, password and email address. These are stored in an online database and are simply used to log you into the site. We don't disclose your details to anybody, for any reason. Period.
Can I expect loads of spam at the email address I register with ?
No. Absolutely not. See above. The address you supply is used to verify your registration. It may also be used by us to contact you at some point in the future in connection with the service we supply. Each such email will include clear instructions on how to opt out of this feature.
If tipsters are so good why don't they just back their selections ? Surely they can make their money this way rather than selling their advices ?
This is perhaps the most common question of all. However, it's perhaps an unfair question. You may as well ask, "Why do petrol stations sell newspapers ? They should just make their money on fuel sales"
So you're saying that all tipsters are justified in what they do ? Yeah, right !! ?
Of course not. We're saying that some services can justify a fee, simply judging on the profit they make. Others cannot. Still others are simply out to con punters. We're here to show you what's what. In simple terms of cold, hard, profit.
I'm a better judge than many services you cover !!
Good for you. If you fancy proving it, email us. We'll include your advices for as long as you like to give you a chance. We'll declare your profit along with all other services covered.
Why would I do that ? I want to make money from this. Why would people subscribe if they can pick up my tips here ?
We will withhold advices for a set period. If you really are good, people will pay you to get the information earlier. If you're not, they won't. We will publish profit the same seven ways as for any other service.
I can see that being good for you, but what's in it for me ?
Depends how good you are. If you can turn a regular profit, you will gain independent verification from a respected source of that. Plus free exposure from a website getting several thousand hits a day. If you're just another fraudulent service you are probably, no certainly, better off looking elsewhere.
Don't all 'relay agents' collude with tipsters to promote both services ?
We obviously can't speak for any other service, but we are not prepared to jeopardise our reputation as an independent service by promoting any tipster. If, however, you for some reason desire such a circumstance there are several services prepared to oblige you.
So I have to subscribe to get the tips before the race? Do you do a free trial?
No. There's only 2 differences between registered and subscribed users. Subscribers get the information as it is updated, registered users can access it slightly delayed, currently 10 minutes before the scheduled race time. Subscribers also can access more in depth analysis. Because of this we see no need to offer free trials.
